CertainTeed Gypsum Wallboard Manufacturing & Distribution Facility

Mass excavation of 2.5 million cubic yards of earth was completed in two phases to prepare approximately 110 acres for the development of a Gypsum Wallboard Manufacturing and Distribution Facility. Work included onsite earth placement, offsite hauling, demolition of existing obstructions and rail-related footers, and subgrade preparation. Extensive erosion and sediment control measures were implemented, followed by fine grading. The scope also encompassed construction and maintenance of access roads, installation of retaining walls, and the complete installation and backfilling of storm, sewer, and water systems per project specifications.
