Sherwood Gas Processing Plant
Category: Industrial/Oil & Gas
Our team led the clearing and grubbing of 30 acres to kick off the first in a series of gas processing plants for MarkWest Energy, laying the groundwork for one of the region’s most significant energy developments.
Early phases involved bulk excavation, rough grading, and full site pad preparation to support future construction. In Phase II, we expanded our efforts with the construction of the main access road, debris removal, material stockpiling, and additional bulk excavation and embankment work to prepare for Plants #2 and #3.
Our infrastructure expertise was further showcased through the construction of a massive Redi-Rock block retaining wall and the full installation of a 12,000-linear-foot storm sewer system — complete with 76 inlets and manholes, 15 headwalls, and concrete anchors — engineered for long-term durability and performance.
